Pentridge Prison is opening its gates for the inaugural Pentridge Festival 2017, a two-day free community event celebrating both the 20th anniversary since the prison closed its doors, and its recent revival as a community-oriented adaptive reuse heritage precinct.
Bordered by the infamous bluestone walls, the former prison site will be transformed into a vibrant festival for all ages, and will feature artisan stalls, Melbourne’s emerging music talent and diverse food offerings from around the world.
